20" x 20", edition of 100

A set of prints to honour an icon and the movement that makes it tick.

Whenever I look at the Nautilus, I have this impulse to dive into the distinct blue dial and swim around. Gerald Genta's inspiration for the design of the watch comes from the nautical world. The bezel was inspired by ship portholes and its name is a tribute to Captain Nemo's submarine in Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. To me, the embossed horizontal bars create a feeling of rolling water and rising tides. And so, I created an abstract design that echoes water. I disrupted the dial on the 5711/1A with a wavy pattern and carried the lines over the bezel and on to the movement so that it appears to be floating in water.

The Patek Philippe 5711/1A and Calibre 324 S C have been designed to work together with as a set or as stand alone pieces. When ordered as a set, edition numbers will be matched as best as possible.

Originals have been sold.
