This is a special independent piece created to mark the 60th anniversary of the Daytona and the 100th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Two legends in racing history honoured in one speedy piece. Motion blur is one of the trickiest things to draw. It requires an incredible amount of both focus and lack of focus. It’s a struggle to keep detail soft when the natural instinct is sharp. Your eyes and brain are used differently and you doubt your sanity with every stroke! But the beauty of graphite is the endless ways it can be used, never ceasing to provide a proper challenge and gorgeous effect.
